REVIEW: The Karate Kid

When Dre Parker (Smith) moves from Detroit to Beijing, cultural differences cause Dre to be the prime target for bullies. Teaming up with Mr Han (Chan) Dre soon becomes well equipped to beat the bullies at their own game – Kung Fu.
This 2010 remake of the 984 classic pulls some pretty hefty punches. The good story line along with the well cast duo of Chan and Smith give a well rounded family film. As Smiths first film as a lead actor, it is clear to see his fathers influences and it appears that the son is most definitely following in his fathers footsteps! Not bad, a good family film with a decent story and a well rounded cast.
