REVIEW: Buried

Buried alive in the deserts of Iraq, Paul Conroy (Ryan Reynolds) has 3 hours to get $5million otherwise he is left to choke on sand. With only the light of a glowstick, a mobile phone and a Zippo lighter, the feeling of panic and desperation plays through brilliantly as the oxygen is quickly running out. Reynold’s stellar performance as the blood and dirt smeared Conroy keeps us on the edge of our seats as we hope for his escape, grasping onto every glimmer of hope. The camera never leaves the coffin, dragging us into his underground coffin and mirroring the same emotions. This indie come blockbuster is definitely one that everyone should watch simply due to the brilliantly original story and fantastic camera work.
