These last couple of days have been filled joy for those of us who are fans of sea faring animations – Pixar have announced that the sequel to Finding Nemo is Finding Dory!
When it was announced late last year that there was going to be a sequel to the 2003 smash hit, there were mixed reactions. Half of people were bubbling with anticipation while others – myself included! – thought “Really? He gets lost again?”. Now, with the knowledge that the story will centre around Nemo’s forgetful friend Dory, everyone seems to be fidgeting with eagerness to see this film.
The blue Tang, voiced by star chat show host Ellen DeGeneres, will return at the end 2015 in her own full length adventure. So far, Pixar have released very few details about the new film, but we will expect to see some of our old favourites including Marlin, Nemo and the Tank Gang.
Finding Dory is just the latest in the series of Pixar sequels. Since the release of Toy Story 3 in 2010, Pixar have released Cars 2 and this summer are releasing Monsters University. Set in Mike and Scully’s college years, MU, is released in the UK on July 12th this year.
So, with Mike and Scully and Nemo and Dory both returning to the big screen, which are you most excited about seeing? Drop me a comment and let me know!
