On the eighth day of Christmas my true love gave to me; eight nightmare dogs, seven dancing snowmen, six Christmas parties, five holidays! Four homemade traps, three skellington reindeer, two bad-mouthed con men and a Gremlin who is a cutie!
A Christmas Story was a film recommended to me by a friend after seeing Iron Man 3 – remember the kid with the bright blue eyes? It had been sat on my shelf for months so I thought it was about time I watched it.
Set in the 1940s, A Christmas Story follows 9 year old Raphie’s quest to own a Red Rider BB gun. He tried to persuade Santa, his teacher and his parents, all of whom are against the idea. Will Ralphie find his dream present under the Christmas tree, or just another pink rabbit onesie from his auntie?
If you’ve ever wondered where the iconic leg lamp is from, wonder no more, this is the film you’re looking for! If you’re looking for silliness, look no further. Full of laughs, this film will keep the whole family entertained – plus you’ll probably recognise yourself in at least one of the characters! Though hopefully no ones had their Christmas turkey eaten by the neighbours dogs and had to spent their Christmas dinner at the local Chinese!
